Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale is the American basketball player with the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before being drafted as the fifth pick overall by the Wings at the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was conceived on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are her brothers. Being the youngest of them, her parents gave her the most exemplary treatment. Gregory his father was a soldier as a soldier in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale grew up in a busy family. Her mother Yolanda played softball at DePaul and her brother Dare is a football player. Aunty played volleyball at UAPB. Her cousin Endia is also a volleyball player in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was on the list of honors at her high school three times in a row. The school also recognized her for her accomplishments in high school and received numerous awards. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is in Arike's hometown. She participated in three games of the varsity league while she studied there. Ogunbowale led her school to stunning victories with her exceptional skills multiple times. She compiled her high school career with 73 career starts and lists her career's totals as 1,477 points and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale has won gold at the 2013 U16 FIBA Americas Championships as well as the 2014 FIBA U17 world Championships as well as the 2013 U18 FIBA 3x3 Championships. On July 7, 2014, Ogunbowale was selected to the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale also has been named on the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first collegiate season. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following the NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale may be new to basketball but she has already established herself.
