The sporting icon was a worldwide sensation after she achieved an impossible scoring. The legend she created was legendary and helped to popularize gymnastics across the world. The perception of women gymnasts was changed by her achievements. Her impact was so significant that she was dubbed the Olympic toe on and release moves.
